Viridiane’s Hope Mission Trips
Viridiane’s Hope embodies the corporal works or mercy into their daily practices both nationally and internationally, through international outreach in rural villages of Cameroon, West Africa. Their initiatives include drilling water wells, constructing schools and sanitation facilities, renovating chapels, offering educational programs, and supporting community projects. Since 2022, missionary teams have traveled to Cameroon with Viridiane’s Hope to engage in these activities. In 2025, Nativity Knights partnered with Viridiane’s Hope to implement projects such as drilling wells, chapel and altar renovations, providing comfort to the sick, preparing gardens, planting banana trees, and facilitating educational outreach for youth.
Looking ahead, Viridiane’s Hope is partnering with Nativity Knights and Commissioned by Christ, to organize two mission trips to Cameroon in 2026: February 15 – 28 (4–6 participants), and October 22 – November 1 (12–15 participants). Individuals interested in serving the poor in underserved communities internationally while practicing the corporal works of mercy are encouraged to consider these opportunities. Please click here for additional information and to register for the October 2026 mission trip.

Opportunities For Collaboration
Viridiane’s Hope provides opportunities to supporters and benefactors to participate in its charitable projects during mission trips in communities VHCHE serves. Viridiane’s Hope is considering including students and other volunteers to these mission trips in the future.
Viridiane’s Hope seeks out opportunities for community outreach through our ambassador program which involves sending ambassadors to fulfill our mission of raising awareness and funds for children uneducated or undereducated in underserved communities by utilizing a variety of means such as charitable events in the United States and abroad. Through the Viridiane’s Hope’s Ambassador Program, the issue of health and education in underserved communities will be highlighted and brought to the attention of diverse audiences.
Viridiane’s Hope plans to set up/develop an exchange or sabbatical program where high school or college graduates can be sponsored to take some time off to go teach at schools in underserved communities in different countries around the world. We will also work in collaboration with other non-profit organizations to build schools and health clinics in communities where there are not enough schools or health centers for children.
Viridiane’s Hope will coordinate volunteers in the medical and dental fields to provide medical and dental screenings and checkups for children at all its centers and also as needed by other organizations who share common goals and objectives as Viridiane’s Hope.
Many communities lack access to drinking water which impact how children can study and grow. As resource remains available, VHCHE will undertake drinking water projects in rural underserved and underprivileged areas so that children and families may have water to drink.
Viridiane’s Hope will also set up public libraries in collaboration with local organizations to bring educational and health resources to children, educators, and physicians in underserved communities. Viridiane’s Hope will work in collaboration with children’s authors, to bring books to children in underserved communities and will also collect used books with the end objective to increase literacy among these children.

Engagement Opportunities
Digital Letter Exchange Project: In September 2022, Chelsea Wright, a Senior at Mount Vernon High School in Northern Virginia was inspired by a VHCHE presentation to International Baccalaureate French Students at Mount Vernon High School, to initiate a collaboration between students in the United States and Students of Cameroon. Chelsea had previously conducted successfully a similar project with students in Myanmar, working alongside one of the teachers at the school as he was able to translate the letters from Burmese to English. She understood that both French and English are spoken in Cameroon, and believed it’d be a great opportunity for her IB French class to translate the French-written letters. In order to exchange letters, she scanned the hand-written letters then merged them all into PDFs, then emailed them to the point of contact in Myanmar. Chelsea duplicated this effort successfully through Viridiane’s Hope and was able to connect students of Fort Belvoir Elementary School in Virginia with students of Emergence primary school in Cameroon, then students of Saint Louis Catholic School in Alexandria, Virginia with students at Saint Anne Catholic School in New Melong, Cameroon through a successful digital letter exchange. Hundred of letters were exchanged between students at these four schools and they were able to learn from each other’s cultures, challenges, and opportunities through this exchange. This is an example of how VHCHE fosters leadership development through impactful projects.
VHCHE provides opportunities for collaboration between students in the United States and those in the communities VHCHE serves. VHCHE recently began a pen pal program with two elementary schools in Cameroon and two elementary schools in Alexandria, VA. In January 2023, we facilitated a zoom call between the four schools. The meeting was attended by over 150 students and teachers and the students benefited from an exchange of ideas across cultures. Students will continue to write letters to their peers across continents and to learn more about each other. If you’re interested in participating in this program, please email us at vhchecorp@gmail.com.
VHCHE also provides opportunities to schools to have a VHCHE representative speak to students about the children who benefit from VHCHE charitable work, and the challenges they face in other parts of the world. These speaking engagements have been been successful and have inspired US students to corporal works of mercy. If interested, please email us at vhchecorp@gmail.com.
